Middle School Resiliency Camp: Getting Gritty!

July 16, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - July 22, 2023 @ 2:00 pm MDT

What does it take to navigate this crazy world?  GRIT: Guts, Resilience, Integrity, & Tenacity!

Getting Gritty camp will give campers going into grades 7, 8, and 9 a pocketful of tools and a network of caring people. Despite best efforts, no one can prevent adversity and daily stress in the tumultuous lives of middle schoolers; but at Getting Gritty we strive to inform, teach, and prepare campers to be more resilient by reframing how they think about future challenges and adversities. Trained facilitators, leaders, and counselors will provide meaningful conversations and strategies that campers are sure to use in their changing lives. Stir into the mix games, hiking, art, archery, making kites, great food, campfires, and new friends… and everyone will have a great time!

Still not sure if this Camp is right for your Middle Schooler? Read this message from a Camper’s Mom!

Camp Getting Gritty at Mimanagish was a fantastic camp for my middle schooler. He found friends and support during his trip last summer (2022). He loved the outdoor exploration and the chance to make friends from around the US. It was such a wonderful experience that when the opportunity to attend camp came up again this summer, he begged to go. We had asked him what, if any, camps he wanted to do this summer. He had said he wasn’t interested in any until we received the email from Mimanagish. The activities are engaging and the staff are amazing. This camp will help your child find peers that they really connect with and a space to be who they are.
