Medical Respite

Each retreat, weekend or weekday, gives healthcare workers and their partners a place to regenerate and seek solace after a difficult and exhausting pandemic. Mimanagish is a safe space for healing and reflection. Adult partners are welcome to come, too. (Sorry, no kids or dogs.) Dr. Robyn Alley-Hay, a Life Coach for physicians, will lead optional morning programs. Afternoons will offer a variety of choices including fly fishing (with instruction if desired), hiking, volleyball, yoga, art, quiet reflection, and more. Massage will be available at a reduced fee. 


Dr. Robyn Alley-Hay is an international women’s empowerment coach, author, speaker, educator, and longtime feminist committed to helping women master their inner power and vision. She is bringing feminism and humanism to her work, seeking to change the culture of medicine. Her experience includes over 25 years in clinical medicine as an Ob/Gyn and over 10 years of life coaching.

Robyn is a graduate of the University of Kansas Medical School and University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita Ob/Gyn residency. She also has a qualification from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, and has studied Humanistic, Existential, and Transpersonal Psychology at Saybrook University. As a speaker, she has been designated as a Physician Mom’s Group (PMG) educator. Her writings have been published in KevinMD, Physician Outlook, Voice, and she writes her own personal coaching blog. She is also a Reiki Master and works with energies of health and well-being.

Robyn Alley-Hay lives in Dallas, TX now, but formerly resided in Montana and takes every opportunity to return.

Rev. Gloria Soja, Leader of this Event, is a volunteer first responder chaplain with a passion for staff self-care and peer support. She is a social justice advocate, suicide bereavement support group facilitator, and a fellow sojourner capable of holding space for others. 
Gloria holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Management, a Master of Arts-Criminal Justice, and a Master of Divinity. She is a certified Circle of Security-Parenting facilitator ( and a certified Question, Persuade, Refer instructor ( who believes in keeping “person first” in all interactions. She has lived experience with fatigue to fulfillment and understands the demands and challenges of front-line work.
