As a Tribute to Dick and Cathy, please ConTribute to the Scholarship Fund!
Dick Weaver and Cathy Barker have devoted an enormous part of their lives to Mimanagish since April 2019 when the news came that the Camp might be sold. They helped form the nonprofit Singing Waters Montana to own and operate Mimanagish, and with the help of many others they carefully charted a secure future, with the goal of providing transformational experiences in the wilderness for people of all ages.
Considering Dick’s previous experience as Manager and Cathy’s organizational skills, the founding Board readily accepted their offer to be Co-Managers: Year 1 as volunteers, Year 2 at half salary, and Year 3 at full salary. They worked tirelessly on plans and administration between seasons and gave 110% May through September.
Accomplishments under their leadership:
3 Break-Even Seasons
Phenomenal Fundraising
Generous Hospitality
New Programs and Renters
Full Moon Flooring, Décor, and Exterior Stain
Improvements to:
Kitchen
Plumbing
Electrical
Staff Cabins
Aspen and Pine Rooms
12 new mattresses
Chapel floor
Lower Camp
Now as new Co-Managers take the reins, Dick and Cathy will focus their energies on the Property and Program Task Teams, respectively. More than anything, they want everyone to come to Mimanagish! As a Tribute to them, will you join us and ConTribute to the Scholarship Fund?
