2024 Summer Employment Opportunities

Singing Waters Montana is seeking motivated, individuals who are willing to work in a wilderness setting alongside our camp manager and head cook for the 2024 season!  These positions are flexible part time with hours that vary depending on the needs of the camp May – October.  Room & board are included.  Please inquire with a camp manager for position details, pay rate and more!

Camp Manager’s Assistant:

The Assistant Manager is supervised by the Manager, who is in charge of the smooth, safe, and hospitable operation of the Camp. The Assistant Manager supports the Manager in achieving these goals. Both are integral to providing a welcoming environment to all, maintaining safety and cleanliness throughout the Camp, supporting staff and guests, keeping appropriate records, operating the Camp Store, cooperating with the US Forest Service, and more.

APPLICATION

Kitchen Assistant:

The Kitchen Assistant is supervised by the Head Cook, who is the culinary leader of the kitchen, in charge of establishing menus, purchasing, and preparing food. The Kitchen Assistant supports the Head Cook in achieving these tasks. Both are integral to maintaining safety and cleanliness in the kitchen, dish room, and dining hall, and other areas as assigned. Groups vary in size from 12 – 80 adults, youth, and children, with 3 meals a day for 5-7 days per week. The Cooks must meet the nutritional needs of persons with special diets and allergies.

Maintenance Person:

The Maintenance Person is the facility curator for Camp Mimanagish. With attention to detail, and in consultation with the Camp Manager(s), the cleaning and maintenance of the facility is in their care. Safety for everyone in Camp is paramount.

Camp Nurse:

The Camp Nurse helps to maintain the health and safety of the staff and guests at Mimanagish. The Nurse keeps careful custody of Health Forms, keeps and administers minors’ medications as instructed, and provides First Aid when needed. In the rare event of a medical emergency, the Nurse responds with care and compassion, assesses the course of action, and coordinates with the Camp Manager to take further steps. The nearest Urgent Care Clinic is 40 miles away in Big Timber. The Camp Nurse is supervised by the Camp Manager.
