Mimanagish is Going Places!

Remember the trip to Mimanagish? Did a parent bring you, or did you drive? Or did you have the memorable experience of riding a bus, either from home or Big Timber, up the Boulder River Valley to Camp? There were years of youth camps when Billings and Helena brought kids by the busload, driven by a brave parent! There were other years when the Camp Bus navigated the whole lower half of the state, picking up kids at key spots. This photo shows one itinerary – see anyone you know???

The old Camp bus is gone…it was in bad shape. In its place, how about a 14-passenger van? It could make it easier for folks to get to Camp. It could meet people at the airport! It could augment the personal vehicles in a caravan. It could even ride the Pride parades!

From Giving Tuesday through the end of the year we hope to raise at least $10,000, which will then be matched by a generous donor! Vehicle availability is unpredictable these days…if you know of a source for a good used passenger van, send the info to dweaver@mimanagish.org.
