Congratulations Singing Waters supporters: You just helped re-open Camp Mimanagish!
We never would’ve accomplished this without your encouragement and your many contributions to our effort.
We also thank the Montana Northern-Wyoming Conference of the United Church of Christ for accepting our purchase offer and to the U.S. Forest Service for granting us permission to bring new programming to camp!
Now, about that programming…
Mimanagish is re-opening this month! We will hold a Kick-off Work Camp from June 25-27 and a Celebration and Dedication of Camp Mimanagish on July 31. Also planned are a Fishing Camp, Geography of Grace and Soul of Aging Spiritual Retreats, and the opportunity to book hostel stays. You can get more information and register at our new website now!
Please help us get off to a good start by visiting us at camp this summer! We also encourage people to help support our startup and ongoing operations. You can give via the website, or on our Facebook page (a great option, since Facebook is not taking a commission on contributions to non-profits!). You also can set up a recurring gift on our website or via Facebook. Any amount is helpful and greatly appreciated. Checks can be mailed to: Singing Waters Montana, 2323 Broadwater Ave. Suite #2, Billings, MT 59102
More thank yous!
The Singing Waters board would like to extend special thanks to Cathy Barker, who initiated our mission to save Mimanagish. Her vision, boundless energy and rock-solid dedication to this effort helped us stay the course!
We also want to thank departing board member Judi Firehammer for helping us achieve this huge milestone. She was instrumental in getting us set up as a non-profit and helped us obtain crucial financial support, while also helping us make smart choices along the way.
And thank you to our consultants and to the many others who provided us with vitally helpful advice.
More board members needed!
We are seeking additional members to join the Singing Waters board as we make the transition from working to acquire camp to helping to support and run it! Please contact John Firehammer if you are interested and would like more information: info@singingwatersmontana.org
We also are still taking submissions for a new Camp Mimanagish logo! Think what might look good on stationery, shirts, water bottles, stickers… We will accept submissions until August 15, and we’ll let our constituents weigh in before we choose. Anyone may submit! Please send designs to John at info@singingwatersmontana.
We we will be in touch with more updates soon!
Thank you all,
